My band played a large charity function in Denver last night. Attended by the who's who in town - celebrities, the mayor, the guv and former guv etc. Very cool affair - we played during the silent auction and were even an auction item. Someone bought us for $3200 (for up to 4 hours).

Large open room - tons of people. We play through the Bose PAS/L1 system and boy did those miracle speakers fill the room - lots of great complements on our sound. Played my DG Bongo 4 HH most of the night - and found many people pointing at it (I hope because of its unique look). It sounded great - as did my SR5 and my Sterling fretless. The SR5 shook the room.

This was our first gig with our new drummer - a fantastic player - killer grooves and rock-steady time. He has and does play with some big names - gets a call when so-and-so comes to town. He is playing a few gigs this summer with Sonny Landreth and while we are setting up last night - he checks his email and there is a new one from James Taylor asking him to play a gig in August in Montana with him. Wild!

A great night - highlighted by the great sound and feel of my EBMM basses. Once again thanks to the EBMM crew for such great products.
