Me too Butch. He's an incredible musician. Jeffs boots were hard to fill, but I think he's made such a mark on the band.
Great stuff Butch....thanks for putting it up...

when i was a kid i didn't know that it was in 7/4 and i just play it by ear though, but that groovy rhythm really hit me man..it's haunted me! and yes there's nice couple modes changing on the intro start from D lydian then change smoothly to F# Locrian..what the hell :D. Toto music is genius.. I learn alot from their music. and yeah Kingdom of Desire is my #1 fav album from TOTO. you guys rulez!

Jeff Porcaro was and always will be my favourite drummer... Simon is great but he's not in the same place as Jeff was... he was just special... and it's no disrespect to any other drummer but Jeff had this groove that was infectious.... I really wish he was still around... I remember seeing Toto in 1990 and I was more impressed watching Jeff than I was watching Luke... which in my book is saying something......

I think we all wish he was still with us. I also don't think that Simon is in the same place Jeff was. They're different people and different drumming stylists.

Simon totally kicks ***.

But, having said that, my reaction to your post is: AMEN!
