Hi there,
Thought I'd also chime in and say "hello - another new member on board". I have been playing since I was a kid, in my 30's now and have had a bad case of GAS for about the last three years. During this time, I have cycled my way through all sorts of strats, LP's, a flying V, some clone style projects etc. and FINALLY: An EB MM Axis. My aim was to consolidate my gear down to this guitar, a strat or tele and a Gibson LP - but something tells me this is the only thing I will take with me to the studio...... I picked it up used from (I think another member) here in Melbourne Australia a couple of weeks ago and have not been able to put it down since.
I love it - the sound, the feel, the look everything. Everyone comments that it sounds incredibly versatile for a guitar with one knob - and it is. You can cover enormous amounts of diverse tones but I find it always retains its own "voice". Which is just superb.
Anyhow, I'm rambling - the reason I found this board was because I am wanting to establish it's date of birth. I used the "search" button here etc. but only came up with other members asking for the same thing. The serial number is 88256.
Cheers all! Victor
