remember:
MM1 are a (feaux) foto-finish (Feauxto finish ?)
I played one in a shop that actualy was really good for the price.

May get one for the boy if he wants to play.

All the reviews i read for them say the good price:quality ratio is good

FAUX THAN !

They actualy call it film top.

fauxto-film top ?

i guess Philip Kenneth Collen of Def Leppard plays a Jackson with a fauxto finsih when he plays "Fauxtograph"

Sry French should be my second language but all i learned was from Grade 7 and the back of cereal boxes.

But let's not let the spelling detract from the intent of the word.

sry for the ramble

LOOOOLLLLL Can you tell M. Pettrucci seems like there are 4 million places he would rather be than holding that one:D

But seriously. I had tryed an "axis" olp and was impressed.
I was actually pissed off for having paid 4 times the amount for my silo. But the salesman "psycologist" ensured me that a "real"
EB is well worth the amount paid and these two should not be compared like apples.

As a back up axe i would definitly look into one

My two cents

The OLPs are good guitars for the money, but lets face it, a $200 Chinese guitar is a $200 Chinese guitar - they aren't even in the same league as the cheapest EB/MM... My biggest disappointment with them so far has been the feel of the necks; they're $200 Chinese guitar necks, which are perfectly playable, but the soft frets and generic shallow C shape are really not my cup of tea...

yes they are a $200.00 chinese guitar.

But they are a GOOD $200.00 chinese guitar.

yes I'll agree about the frets.

They are not a $600.00 guitar (Although i have played $600 guitars that were not as good as the OLP i played even when they said that it was just serviced by a tech.)

For what you are getting they are good value for the money.

at least you don't have to worry about a friend picking up your OLP and scratching it or putting a ding in it.
