Trying to decide between a black or classic sunburst Luke...both with matching headstock & piezo. I know the black is sweet...looking for some good pics of the sunburst.

It's all personal preference, natch. For me, the Luke is more modern than classic in its contours and over all appearance. No pick guard, smooth edges, etc. I prefer solid colors on it for that reason. I feel that way about all EBMM guitars, but especially the Luke and JP. Sunburst used to be the only color I'd prefer. My one silos is sorta sunburst (autumn redburst), but the sparkles give it a more modern look.

Problem with black is, it shows dust, finger prints and smudges under certain lights, a lot. Purty when clean, though.

Curious why you've narrowed it down to these two.

I would normally agree with you, but unless you've seen the sunburst luke in person, WOW!

candid x - I feel the same way you do about the Luke...modern axe...solid or sparkle colors seem to work best. I just needed to ease my curiosity about the sunburst. It does look nice.

I've always liked the black and just haven't found another I like better yet.

Pictures do help but there is nothing like seeing the guitars in person...made it easy for me.

I have finally ordered my first EBMM guitar from Pete...a Vintage Sunburst Luke w piezo & natural hs. WOOHOO!

Now for the agonizing wait.

Sunburst is pretty sweet with matching headstock! That would be my pick. I am a JP guy, but the lukes are appealing as well...
