Sorry folks but I'm having trouble deciding which pearloid
to put on my Tobaccoburst SR5HH to give it an old school
look (they're close and kinda similar)
What do you think?
(not really interested in any other suggestions)

If you really want to go old school then I'd go with the cream over the aged and the regular. It looks "old" without losing any characteristic "new" appearances, if anyone understands what i mean by that.

yeah Larry, of course I thought about tort but I have two torted
basses already. I like the old Hofner look . . . 2-tone burst w/well
aged, creamy pearl.

I like the creamy pearl, but I don't think the pickups will fit in those routes, and the switch location looks wrong.

I voted Cream pearl, but still think that darker looks better on sunburst. I agree about the dark pickups being a bit of a shock against the light background.

Whoa... I think your bass is REAL SEXY just the way it is...
I'd be curious to see the cream pearl, but those black PUPs... even white PUPs
would look kinda weird, no?

Anyway, that is a lovely bass, man! Can't wait to get MY tobacco!
Oh wait, I just quit smoking recently, maybe I should get a different colour, LOL

The black does look great but I like to swap pickguards
now and then to keep things fresh;)

And FYI, the gloss black pickguard is a real pain in the
ass with fingerprints and dust.
