Why's the Slash Wah so expensive? I can get one locally at a much lower price.

Crazy price for the slash wah...I was dissapointed that they changed the specs on it too. Originally it was going to offer much more control.

True, but you can buy a new one for about $150. Now his signature rackwah, I think that sucker is like $800

But I thought Slash just used a regular Crybaby?

Not really, only for smaller performances usually. Back in the late 80s/early 90s, he started using an EMB Audio rack wah in his live setup. It's the same one used by steve vai (back then), Santana, and Kirk hammett. Sometime in the 90s, he switched to the dunlop 1SR rack wah. Then a few years back with velvet revolver, he switched to the Dunlop 2SR. Now he has his own signature dunlop rack wah (pretty much exactly like a combo of the 2SR and his sig wah features). He does use standalone pedals when he plays smaller shows though.
