Another Steve Lukather appreciation topic!

I just can't seem to get enough of this genius.

It's just hard to imagine that someone can be that melodic, musical, technically capable and play everything with a certain groove and energy that just sends shivers down your spine...

Music in general is an undescribable concept for a 15-year-old like myself, especially when you're in a country with not-so-many (good) bands (of any genre) and a pretty pathetic musical scene in general.

There really is a certain feeling, which I can't describe, when you're on a good show (like the Deep Purple one I saw more than three years ago), it's like this great atmosphere, a feeling that you can do anything you can ever wish for at that particular moment.

And even though I'm at home sitting in front of my computer, I can definetly hear and feel that same atmosphere when listening to Toto, especially the 25th Anniversary concert in Amsterdam. I can hear the long years of hard work, will and talent invested in their music coming out of my speakers. And on top of it all, I can see they're all having fun, and that's just magic!

I don't know... I probably haven't said anything smart in particular in the last few sentences, but I just hope you know what I mean.

Thanks for makin my morning. Very nice Xmas present. I appreciate the good vibes and I am wishing you all the very best holiday and New Years ever!!!
Life is good, my daughter is comin back from germany after a 6 month internship and my family is gettin together and I will be spending new years with Big Poppa and family and thats always fun.
I am starting a new solo record Jan 8th and I am looking forward to that. Its #5 I believe, if you dont count the stuff I did with Carlton or Lobotomy's.
Should be fun and I will keep ya posted.
Some of my old stuff is hard to find as whatever CD stores that are still around cater to top 40 and not much catalogue stuff as they will all but be out of business in the coming years. Amazon is always a good way to find stuff. All my solo records are VERY different. Thats the point of doing them to get music out that I dont do with los Toto's.
I just did a photo shoot for PLAYER magazine with my son Trevor, a father and son issue. Its a trip to do something like that. Time passes quick and the next thing ya know..
Check out Trev's band www.MySpace.com/Isolationduo and dig some of his demos. He has major lable interest and should have a recod out next year sometime. The deals they throw at kids these days is just f-ing horrible. They want all the publishing , merchandising..its ridiculous. Soo, I solved that. I shall share that once he is signed. hahaha
