Today I recorded another take at the solo. I feel it's one of my better takes, and since it's over the original 'backing' I decided it was worth uploading to youtube.

and did you use a mic in front of the amp to record ? or did you record straight into the computer (no mic in other words). That tone is very nice.

Thank you all for the positive feedback.

I used a Mesa Boogie Mark IV + 4x12 close miced with a PC mic, then straight to the onboard audio.

@glockaxis: My amp was lower than usual on this one. The 'output level' was barely past 1.
