another Y2D question

I was under the impression that the Morse guitars came with only a Floyd Trem or none at all!?
I was talking to a not so local Canadian dealer getting a price and she said standard or floyd?

Is a standard trem available on the Y2D or is she mistaken?

I know the piezo is NOT an option on the Y2D. I think its the same deal with the older Morse model, too.

The trem version uses a floyd, which is not piezo equipped, and the stoptail version is also non-piezo to my knowledge. Besides, where would they put another knob or switch on the original Morse?

Please pardon some noobie questions, but why isn't the Y2D offered with a piezo option? For those with both the FR equipped and Standard Morse's, is there a big tonal difference between the 2?

y2d is a signiture guitar...which means it is designed for the artist........and that's how they are sold.
if steve wanted his main guitar to be piezo equipped ........they would have made it that way.
there is an aftermarket piezo bridge that can be retrofitted .......

Thanks for the quick answer... I just asked out of curiosity... if it came across as a slam on EBMM, it wasn't meant to be.

I shoulda figured, since I never seen/heard Steve use one. I was just hoping that maybe.....

Dudley- can I ask what Piezo / preamp you're using for that? Or for that matter, what system is in the Luke/Axis?

I'm going to retrofit my 91 Morse with a piezo (and probably use the Y2D switching so I have room for the controls.) Evaluating the Fishman vs the Baggs products to see which is preferable.

PSA: Graphtech has (is about to have?) GHOST piezo saddles for Floyd Rose Trems...
