Any advance on the coated strings for bass?

I recall a couple of months ago BP saying he had aprooved the bass coated strings.

Have they've gone into production yet?

Originally BP said they were going to be brought out at the Winter Namm, so perhaps that is what you might be referring to.

FYI-I opened the new issue of Bass Player and in the NEW GEAR area there's a small blurb about Ernie Ball Coated Bass Strings.

Ha, just got a little further along in the mag and there's also a sweet advertisement for the new strings.

Man, I can't wait to try these. At this point, I'm pretty much exclusively using the big "E" brand of coated strings but occasionally treat myself to Slinkys for the great tone. Would love to switch back- if they feel good and last LONG.
