Hi guys !
I intent to change my Classic Sterling pickup, and this latter pickup (AG 4M) got my attentions. Is there someone there who could give me his opinion about it ?
Thanks and cheers, xx

You'll probably need to look elsewhere on the internet or ask Aguilar. I once met their CEO when I tried out a Tonehammer 500 with 2 x tiny 12 in cabinets. He was a nice guy. No doubt they can give you tech specs for their performance which you can compare with the stock items.

You won't find many people round these parts modifying their Musicman basses because most people like them as they are. If you do modify it, it's worth keeping the original equipment so you can reverse the modification if you want to sell the bass later, without losing resale value.

As J Lepre says, best of luck.

You will probably find what you are looking for at TalkBass.com. Lots more people there with experience with mods and Aguilar pickups in general.

The manufacturer's forum is not really the place to ask for help with mods.

I don't think that you'll find anything that sounds nicer than your Sterling pickup... different yes, but better? I doubt it.

But, to each his own. If you do make the change, make sure that you hang on to the original pickups as drTStingray suggests—you'll kill yourself on the resale if you don't have the MM pickup in there.
