Awesome!

Very cool guitars guys! I've seen one or two of them before, but some I have not. So far I like them ALL! The Trans Blue ASS is beautiful with the chrome hardware and even the chrome strap!

And of course the JPs are bangin' as well...

Keep 'em comin' guys!!

I'm making another guard cause I'm not fond of
my choice of switch placement, I need to move it
over a hair, but there it is with the tortoise guard!!

Did you make the guard yourself?

What pickups did you put in?

How about some comments on the tone of that bad boy!

I did make the guard myself,
the p-ups are virtual Paf neck, virtual hot Paf bridge
real fat mellow tone from the neck, brighter bite from the bridge,
very responsive.
great for rock/blues and slide playing.

Well I'm not surprised - it's an automotive paint, and the company that makes it has about 75 dealers/bodyshops in Cali that use it :D

I thought about shooting the 'cuda in that color and then realized black would be so much more evil

Mmhmm, evil is correct my friend! Though I must say, that beautiful guitar would look phat hanging from the rear view of your Cuda!!!
So glad to chat with you the other day ... thanks for all that you do! :) :)

WOW Norrin, who did that finish for you and what is that technique called ?!?

Heheh...

I believe the correct term is "Swirl"! :D

I had it done by a very nice guy, super super easy to work with (and believe me - he would have had plenty of reason to lose it with em as a customer - Let's just say I called a little too often near project completeion -:D - but he was always really nice about it) guy name Herc Fede. You can check out his work here:

Fede Designs - MULTICOLOR SWIRLS on ANYTHING! - Enter

Now, he is located in the U.S. and I see you are in Germany. The only place I know of in Europe is this place:

Cottam Guitars - Repairs, Spares & Secondhand - Home

Although, I have never worked with them so I can not comment on their work or ease to work with - but it looks like nice stuff!

Same goes with this place:

Sims Custom Shop, Sims LEDs, L.E.Ds, Respray, Body Shop, Bodies, Scratchplates, Lasers and Pickguards by Martin Sims.

But I have heard great things about Sims! Steve Vai has had work done at Sims - so I think their probably pretty darn good! (not sure on their swirl status, though)
