.. on the straplocks?

The reason I'm posting this is that minutes ago I just caught my LEAL inches from the floor!! (honest no bull poop!!)

I can't hang on to much longer - any idea when they are coming out? - should I contact Strings n things?

Same sort of question, but with the Wah pedal. Any news yet? Release date? I've had mine on order since first word came out about it. I'm sick of playing crappy signature wahs that sound terrible, and were probably not even used by the actual artist. Come on EB!

Oh well - I have solved the problem for now.

I had a straplock system in brass that I fitted to my Les Paul in the 80's made by PickBoy.
I also have a Dunlop Straplock system fitted to my BCB and as luck would have it, my leather strap with the Straplock male fitting, inserts snugly into the Pickboy (or should that now read pick girl!) Female fitting. - the brazen hussy !!! ;) :D
A match made in heaven - as the Pickboy is made out of brass it looks ok with the gold fittings of the LEAL.

Nice catch Spud! I had the same thing happen to me when I refinished my first guitar. I was devastated! I put strap locks on it soon after and I bought strap locks for my JPs FIRST THING after buying them. I will not let it happen again. I still remember the disheartening sound of it hitting the hardwood floor. ouch.

Hey Spud while you wait have you ever tried those rubber grommet things of grolsh bottles? they work a treat over the end of your strap pins, plus of course you can just whip em off when you do get your straplocks

Thought you were gonna ask about an update on the BFR AL.......I have my money saved up!

For some reason which I have yet to figure out, I have started saving money for a BFR AL. For some reason, something inside is nagging at me, telling me to have hat couple thousand dollars tucked away because it will be worth it. That's strange. I played my friend AL upside down for a few hours last night, and it sure did play well, even being played Jimi-style... Let's hope they come out with one that I can play not upside down Hahahahaha. Subtle prodding of the Ball family, I presume.

:p
I want to be part of the ALLHOC... now it sounds like some kind of anonymous talk group.

Yeah - it's a good way to keep the straps on.
I stay in a particular hotel in North Wales and when I visit he gives me a load of grolsch stoppers.

I had my "Dunlop strap" on my bcb and it has no slots in it to use on a normal strap button. So I raided my sons guitar and used his strap - which is made fom a WWII Army belt!!! I should have used a rubber grommet on it but I didn't - and nearly came to grief. As luck would have it the brass ones fitted to my Les Paul work perfectly with the "Dunlop Strap".
So do I really need to get an EB one when they come out ??? ;)

PS Pino was playing with the Who the other week and he had grolsch rubbery things on his bass.

I dropped an SG on the floor once - over 30 years ago when I was in school - I was sooooooo lucky it seemed to fall on "it's face" and there was no damage!!

I gotta stop jumping around so much - those Pete Townshend leaps in the air are no good you know !!! ;)
