Any possibility of strings for other instruments?

Just kind of a general question. I went to get some new cello strings this weekend and was amazed at the prices that the European strings (T.I. and Jargar) have climbed to. The double bass string prices were astronomical.

Is there any chance in the future that Ernie Ball will branch out into making strings for other instruments? Maybe there just isn't a big enough market...

Good question, but I feel the classical string market is quite crowded already. EBMM would benefit from being based in the US and thus have a chance at the lower priced string market just as some other american string manufacturer. I personally think the european strings are worth the investment, but my favorite is not among those you mentioned.

Yeah, as soon as Luke, Steve, Al, or JP incorporate a "hot" violinist in their band!!:)

Once a student of my school broke an E string the day before an audition and, having no proper replacement, used a guitar string
