I really like the wood combination in the BFRs (alder+maple with the mahogany tone block) but i'm really not all that into fancy tops these days. Has there been any consideration of offering the same "tone recipe" in a plain top or solid-colour finish option?

The new Dargies are a start. I think I heard there will be some solid-color options coming as well, but I have no evidence to back that up.

I'm not aware of any solid color BFR's with the exception of the Dargie II's and the one-offs that John has.

I wanted a solid color BFR as well which is why I ordered my two Dargie II BFR JP's.

I guess more to the point, i'm wondering if there any plans to bring these into more regular, non-limited production. The Dargie IIs do look quite nice, but they're limited in number and only available in one colour.

I can get behind what Darren is saying; I too prefer a simple solid color generally, though I do appreciate a great top. Solids just fit my personality and style best.
