What's up people. I have been listening to this guys album Uncertain Terms and he has some really cool compositions and a pretty interesting style. Also I wonder what he would sound like if he played EBMM! Of course I had to bring that up. Maybe a Silhouette Special with a floating tremolo like Vinnie Moore? Anyway here is the video (I hope the link works in the first place):http://www.greghowe.com/videos/improv.wmv
I think he has one of the most unique styles in the shredder type of genre. He mixes in there a LOT of different flavours. Anyway, enjoy if you will  .

I cant believe this freakin guy played with Michael (freak A$$) Jackson, Enrique (sleazy pimp) Iglesias, and NSTYNC!!!! He does look pretty strange himself, probably due to the influence of the freak A$$ mentioned above. But he can play pretty damn good. Just had to add that because I just found that out and watched a disturbing video with him in conert with the freak a$$.

Greg Howe is awesome. Not your typical shredder. Got chops and groove to spare. Very cool style! He has moved more toward the fusion side of things with his style on it. Just awesome!

He recently started playing Suhr guitars. He played Fender HM Strats for years then went to some custom ESP guitar.

Check out some of his other work, just a great player. One of the best in my book.

Greg Howe is my favorite guitar player since he has released "Introspection" in 1993. Since then, i've never stopped to listen to his music, i've got all his CD, and he really is the biggest influence in my guitar playing. For me he's the better player in the world !!! He's my GOD !
The CD released with Denis Chambers and Victor Wooten is "Extraction", it's his latest CD to date and it's Fu****g awesome Groove lesson !
Greg played a EBMM some years ago, a Silhouette, he used it only for cleans sounds, and you can hear it on some albums. Today he play a Shur guitar and a signature model will be released !
Greg Howe is THE MASTER ;)

I would say his first CD is must have if you are trying to collect all of his work. I started with "Introspection" and "Uncertain Terms" and recently purchased everything that came after that except for "Five." "Five" seems to be pretty popular so is can be hard to find. So as I was collecting his solo stuff, I had to get the first "Greg Howe" CD. Considering the year it was done and his age at the time, it is awesome. But anything beyond that album is just so much better. This is all my opinion. Let's put it this way. I purchased the first CD, listened to it once, have not listened to it since. I will keep it because it is part of his compilation. There was one other album that I did not get into that much which is called "Ascend." It is more in the classical/metal shred genre. Again it is great, but not stuff I like to hear from Greg Howe. "Ascend" has been done before by so many shredder type players. Greg Howe is the closest thing to "shred" guitar playing that I listen to. He brings so much more to the table, and I don't consider him a shredder. I consider him to be in a category all by himself.

Greg Howe and Guthrie Govan are my favorite players. I've been listening to Greg since his first record came out back in the late '80s, I still have the cassette tape in my collection. Uncertain Terms is an incredible record. Greg is definitely unique in the shredder genre in that he's moved more towards fusion now. His compositions are much more interesting than you hear on a typical shredder recording, he plays over some complex changes, and he has an incredible rhythmic feel in his playing. By the way, just as an aside, for anyone who hasn't heard Guthrie Govan play yet, click on the links below. Be prepared to pick your jaw up off of the floor. I know that is said about alot of players, but Guthrie is a few cuts above your typical shredder, the guy can play anything, and he means what he plays. There aren't many , if any, throw away notes.

For you NAMM HEADS, Greg Howe will be playing at Tone Merchants at an aftershow concert...he's now living in L.A. to pursue a fusion career

(and also he's teaching :D )

I got Hyperacuity for Christmas. It's a very good record. The solo's are intervalic ala Holdsworth and his phrasing is Henderson-esque.
