Anybody here use acoustic amps with their piezo? What do you use? How do you like it? Any recommendations?
Rob
I use an AER acoustic amp and if it's good enough for Tommy Emanuelle !!!
The sound is sublime!!
Hi Bierschinken
The piezo will play through a normal amp and will sound ok, but you will not get any where near it's full capability, The same can be said when played through an amp emulator like a Pod XT.
However when played through an acoustic amp the difference is very noticeable and much improved.
A few guys on the forum play theirs through the PA, bur personally I prefer the sound through the AER acoustic amp.

The PodXT even has a preset for piezo acoustics, sounds ok through it.
I guess it all depends how you have configured the POD.I go through an EB splitter right into the PA. Sounds great. I've gone through a POD before, but I got better tone plugging into a phone book.![]()
I'm stuck if the spell check doesn't pick it upyou spelt the great mans name wrong!![]()

Horses for courses I guess, but with the right amp setup they are a bit better than a phone book![]()
