Like new 5 string EBMM Stingray in Trans Green. Has maple neck and fretboard, black pickguard and pickup. Case is the Music Man SKB hardshell. Both are mint. No scrathes, nicks, chips or dings. Super fine, best sounding SR5 I've ever played.

Far be it from me to try to dissuade you or tell you you're wrong, because you can ask whatever you want for the bass, and, if someone's willing to pay that, then you're both in business.

But discontinued colors? I couldn't tell you how many I've had or have now. Let's say quite a few. Unless someone is really hot for a particular color (the sparkle finishes do have their fans), it doesn't really add to the value of a used bass.

Matching headstocks cost more new, but - in my experience - add zero value to the resale. It's unfortunate, but generally true.

Again, not trying to puncture your balloon, but an EXPERIENCED wheeler-dealer would offer you 850. You may well get $1050, but unless it's from someone who has no idea about resale value on SR5s, I'd sure be surprised.

But hey, I've been surprised before.
