When I play my JP through my regular amp and an acoustic amp (for the piezo) at the same time I get a god awful ground hum. Usually I use a direct box with a ground lift on the piezo side of things to solve the problem, but this A: creates clutter and B: weakens the signal so much that I need to use a separate boost, creating even more clutter.

The Ebtech Hum X seems like it should solve this issue without requiring any extra cables or pedals or altering the piezo signal at all, but I've heard some people say that it didn't help at all with certain specific issues. I'd like to know if any other Ballers have used this device to alleviate magnetic/piezo ground loop issues with any success before I spend the 70 bucks on it.

Thanks in advance.

Haven't used it but I've heard good and bad.

Another option is a DI/buffer with a transformer iso'd out. I've got an Axess BS2 I use when I'm running two amps. No loss of signal, no hum.
