One thing ive always wanted to do is have a custom neck. No inlays on the front of the neck, just the small inlays on the edge, then my initials on the 12 fret. JC. The design almost looks like an upsidedown Omega sign.

Stuff like that, to me, looks so clean, and really makes the guitar even more of your baby than before. A really personal touch.

Only if inlays were easy to just pull out and replace, but taking out the BFR inlay (Besides being shunned by a few here im sure) would leave a good gap, and all the other troubles. Where as getting a plain neck and doing custom inlays to them wouldnt be so bad.

Anyone have and inlay work they can post up and say how they went about it? Would be sweet to see some peoples work.

The only downside is I wouldnt want to replace a JP7 BFR neck with someone elses. Maybe for the right price EBMM can send out a plain neck. Hmm.

You will destroy the value of the guitar by doing that.
Also there will be no way they will sell you a neck.
You're best bet would be to contact Musikraft and have one made especially with all the inlays you want. What you're wanting would look best with Ebony board I reckon. Then at least you have original neck for resale with guitar if you decide.

Yeah, value isnt something I really care about though. I just dont sell my guitars, so once its mine and feels good, its priceless and value of the name brand kind of goes out the window in a way.

Ill check out musikraft soon.

Ive done some inlay work before. Carving and putting new ones in a blank board is easy. I just wish taking them out and replacing with different designs could be so simple.

So no one here has any custom neck work done for them?

Ill have to update this once I have mine built up.
