anyone have photos of white MM basses with cool pickguards?

I have a newly acquired 1988 MM Sabre - pure white with a black guard and a maple neck. I want a flashier guard but can't decide if I should go tortoise or some other color. Please post a photo of your white MM bass with a guard other than white or black so i can get a visual and make a decision!

Are you sending the pickguard (or a tracing) out as a template?

I'd be very surprised if you can find ready-made versions out there.

Some guy on ebay sells Sabre pickgurds, but a limited choice. I think the guy is from San Luis Obispo too.

Being white, there aint alot that wont go with it. The black looks pretty cool, leave it on and get some white Pickup covers.

Not sure i like the Gold, the abalone looks great though.
One question. Why, on the Build an instrument feature on the website is Abalone never available to view?

bassmonkeee: awesome - thanks for the pics. vintage tort ($65 at pickguardian.com) is a lot more expensive than abalone ($39 on the bay) and both look good - maybe I should do both!
