I know all the resale reasons NOT to do a refin, however I have two EBMM Quilts ( 1 Bass 1 Guitar) that I would like done in Trans Purple. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a Quality Job ???

Thanks!!!

Most brothers here will go  when they read your post...

...but if you then find someone to help out, you better reveal the location you're staying ;)

I've used Boston Guitar Works in the past, pricey but good. I would also suggest asking this question over on TheGearPage.com, you'll get a bunch of good replies, probably some from guys who actually do the work.

As far as getting work done on you EB, who cares, go for it. I'm having my JP7 BFR refretted with Jumbo stainless steel frets and having the last 4 frets scalloped next week.

I have no idea about a refinisher so I will be of no help to you whatsoever. :)

I’m hoping your guitar & bass are older and in need of refinishing & I’m loving your colour choice.
Mmmm... Purple.

I wish you good luck.

Thanks for the Feedback so far Guys! Actually the Bass is pretty much Brand new - a 25th Anniversary. I was holding out to see if the Reflex Bass would be offered with a Trans Purple Quilt - however no dice. So Ill make my own !! (-: The Guitar is an EVH.
They are both to be played, and for my own personal enjoyment, so no resale consideration here! Life is too short for that .............:)

ooops. The gear page is .net, not .com like I said. Sorry, haven't got to my morning coffee yet.

I"m a purple lover, just sold a one off purple flame class 5 (which I already miss), have purple amps, yada-yada-yada. . . ås far as refinishing, even TGP'ers will point you in RS Guitarworks direction, impeccable work, they will do you right. I actually had a finish job done on a custom strat by Terry Mcinturf, don't know if he's still finish jobs or not.

The logos are available online, so the headstock should be no problem to do a matching!

Ill definately do some before and afters! Ships Tuesday, and should be 4 - 6 weeks.

we want pics of before and after :)

How are you going to manage the matching headstock?
