If anyone is looking for a Y2D now that they are about to start shipping, I know of one that will be available in about 2 weeks or so...

When my local store placed my order they apparently faxed the order twice. I called to check on the status of mine last week and was told that there are 2 being built for them. I talked to my sales guy Monday and Dan at EB yesterday and yep, they are building 2 identical Y2D's to ship out in the next week or two...

Purple Sunset, hardtail and premium quilt top. The one that has my name on it is in final setup and the other is close behind.

My salesdude said they'd keep the extra one for the store.

If you are interested p.m. me for the details and the hook up.

I'm so proud!!! :D

And I guess if we have to split them up at least we should try and keep them in the family...

Hey Beej, I'm feeling your pain bud... I thought this time would be different having others to play... Yeah right!!!

Yeah, but it would be different if they were fraternal and had just enough unlike characteristics to make them different I'd consider keeping the other.

Trust me I'll love this new baby, but twins have always scared the crap put of me. I was always told that I had the potential to have twins, I just never knew it would be guitars...

Fred,
You gonna be able to choose between the 2?

You might like the 2nd better possibly, no?

Best of both worlds! Lucky man.

Keith,
Tough call... Even though they will be identical setups, there could be some mojo with one or the other. But...

Unless there is some reason to wait for the one that has my name associated with it, (apparently after talking to Dan and Aziah, there are 2, but one specifically has my name associated with it, and I'm not sure why) such as it being signed by BP or some other cool reason, I'll take the first one shipped out.

Being a premium top, I don't want to get into a pissing contest about which is the better top. Birdseye? Don't get me started... Won't make a difference. I'm sure that I'm going to love it right out of the case. No questions or second thoughts about the other one.

I'm so psyched about this guitar right now...

Don't doubt you'll love it, Fred

But I'd also point out you may as well take advantage of someone's gift to you.

WWTD (what would Tommy do?)

Hell, he lives close enough to join you on try out day at the store. Sounds like a cool reunion!

Appears you'll be among the first here to have it.

Good luck.

I think they look and sound awesome!
It may be my second or third EBMM.
We'll stick with the Silo first.
Actually, as beautiful as it is, I think I like the original better! I would like to try one. Next time I'm in TO I'll come and see you. :)
