How? If it is the small tabs that are causing problems, then just take care of business with a pair of clippers and a file to smooth it out afterwards.

I snipped the tabs and got it in, that's not the problem. For some strange reason it's not sounding full and powerful...it's thin and shrilly. I know the leads are different than a Dimarzio, I'm just having issues wiring to the little PC board thath the toggle is soldered to. I left the neck pickup connected but I'm wondering if there is a phasing problem going on??

I have a Dimarzio ToneZone and a Duncan Jazz in my LP, no problems with phasing there - Also, the problem would only be noticeable with both pickups on.

I'm not quite sure about what you mean with "PC board the the toggle is soldered to". Pics?

It sounds more like you just wired it up wrong.

Well, I left the neck pickup connected to the toggle where it was. The leads are short and I was trying to do it without pulling it out (toggle and volume pot). The JB just sounds so thin and weak. I had to put it up till tomorrow...I was getting to the point where stuff starts breaking:mad:... Things tend to get broken when I get mad:eek:
