 that color is absolutly atomic ! makes me think of a green lime (which juice is great with vodka). Will EBMM evr make it again ?

I notice that EBMM likes to use different green for the special edition : this one, the envy green, the "felix the cat green" bongo, the martini olive...Looks much better as the sad mystic dream avaible !

Gretsch made some unusual green finishes over the years.I remember almost gagging when I first saw Sherwood Green and then grew to like it.That green Ray is right up there.

Oddly enough I like the Dennis Rodman burst StingRay (except the graphite neck, just not a graphite fan). Whats the story on that bass?

This has got me wondering what my Pacific Blue Burst SR5 would look like with a Status neck. NNNNice!!!! :)

Has anyone here tried a Status neck on an EB bass?

I just got a quote from Status to supply and fit a Carbon-Fibre neck complete with side LEDs to an SR5 - expensive but probably worth it. I really like the neck on the Cutlass and it's probably safer to have the LEDs fitted in manufacture rather than have SIMS run a router down the original MM neck.

Now I need to sell a few bits to finance it. I guess it should be fairly easy to sell the original MM maple/rosewood neck.

Oh and before you flame me I bought the bass already modified with a Bart and an OBP3 and I don't have the original pup or pre, so it'll never go back to original.

Dave - d'you how much just to supply the neck? I'd love a GN on my 'Ray.

Would they NEED to fit the neck or is it being done by status due to the LED's?

The prices of the necks are on their web site.

The LEDs are about the same again as the cost of the neck.

You can buy a neck and do it yourself or have them do it and they will set up the bass for you.

There's an additional charge for adding a battery box for the LEDs.

I've played so many places in the last couple of years where I haven't been able to see what I'm doing that I think it would be worth it.

Thanks Dave.

And I thought you were getting the LED's just to be a flash harry!
