Anyone here do any interesting pickup swaps in their JP6? What did you go to and how did it turn out?

In particular, I think a JP6 could look pretty cool if it had humbuckers with nickel covers (maybe Duncan or Lollars), especially a dark colored one.

I changed the bridge pick up to a Dimarzio Tone zone, to be honest, l can't remember what it sounded like, all l remember is that l once loved the sound of the Tone Zones.

I changed the D-Sonic bridge pickup to the "original" 2001 custom DiMarzio JP pickup.... but I don't think this is what you're looking for.

I prefer the stock pickups and the original custom wound SS bridge pup over the dsonic. No interest in changing pups out!

Hello!

I've changed custom SS pickup to DiMarzio DActivator, because I wanted insane amout of bite (didn't even thought of changing neck pickup). What I wanted I got. There is one problem - volume drop, not much but still. It sounds very good for new metal stuff.

But when I got used to the sound I think about changing it back (the old one waits in my desk ;) ) - not because I consider the swap to be bad, but I bought JP for the original sound.

I think, that if You want to try something else, do so, but don't sell original pickups, cause probably You will want it back.
