I have a JPX, and I love everything about it, and have always been considering a JP7 having tried plenty of other 7's before. The JPX makes an ideal 6 for me, I love the neck and the chambering does a little the sound, but I always thought a chambered 7 wouldn't be ideal for me - then of course the XI came along and it's suddenly looking pretty damn near perfect.
Before I go ahead and sell some gear to buy one, could people confirm a couple of my expectations?
The thinner neck is thinner on the 7's too, and together with the flatness I'd imagine is looking rather like the ultimate 7 neck, I can't imagine it being cumbersome at all, is the smaller size that noticeable on the 7's?
The sound is going to be a little brighter and maybe more attack in the lows with a tad less sustain due to lack of chambering, is that accurate?
Obviously I'd just go try one if I could, and if EBMM know of any JPXI7's that have shipped to the UK I'd love to know, but all the usual EBMM stockists dont appear to have any...
