Im really interested in the new Crunch Lab and the Liqifire Pickups from Dimarzio.

Anyone have them or at least try them out yet? Ive heard them in videos and on the new DT album but Id like other peoples opinion other than JP or Dimarzio.

I ordered a Standard Spacing Liquifire for the neck of my Silo to replace the Air Norton that replaced the stock PAF Pro. I really liked the clarity of the PAF Pros but didnt like its "bland" Eqing. So I changed the neck to the Air Norton and the bridge to the new Andy Timmons Dimarzio. And I LOVE the Andy Pickup! Its perfect! But the AN isnt quite there for me. Id like a bit more power from it and a bit less treble and maybe a bit more mids to better match the Andy pickup considering that the Andy pickups mids are cranked to 8 ! So that seems to be the Liquifire. Im just wondering what you guys think of it?

Here are some videos of JP using his new BFR with new Dimarzios....

The crunch lab in my silo special.
I love it like crazy.
Not a hint of mud on the lows, the mids and highs are balanced.
The only Dimarzio PU to "do it" for me in over 15 years.

That's quite the review! I ordered a pair of these for my standard JP. Should be here this week (hopefully). I'll update after this weekend...

was this neck or bridge position?
I agree the crunch lab is incredibly balanced. No mud at all. With a lot of gain it retains clarity. Clean tones it is a little hot so I back the volume off a little.
