Saw one on tv today, Sam Roberts was playing a Rickie through an Orange amp and cab the recording was nice and warm (but couldn't tell if one was used in production of the album.)
anyone use an Orange amp ?

I played one the other week with a P-90 equipped Hamer. Sounded wonderful. Very crunchy, warm and spongey. When I start looking for a more british type amp, I'll definately be checking them out.

They are the best amp I have ever played. Depending on what sound you are going for of course. As far as a rock amp, especially if you are playing Brit Rock or Punk, it is the king. I would take an Orange over a Marshall any day. Which I think explains the cost. Very spendy, but worth it if you can swing it. The one problem I know of is that a friend of mine who had one had problems wiht the inputs cutting out on him. That could have just been his particular amp, but you may want to look into people that have acutally owned one and see what they have to say.
