Anyone used Dimarzio pu with active electronics?

Sent an email to Dimarzio and they said Aguilar and Sadowsky were pretty much the only fit. Anyone tried something?

What kind of Dimarzio pickup, in what kind of bass?

What do you mean by 'Aguilar and Sadowsky were pretty much the only fit'? Fit in where, a Stingray control cavity.

I've used J-Retro & U-Retro preamps with great success with both the DiMarzio Ultra Jazz and DP-123 pickups.

I have them in a low-end Fender ( U.S.A) 5 string Jazz bass with a Demeter preamp that I bought used.
Sounds excellent.
