Anyone watching the INXS RockStar ?

I am not a big fan of reality shows, but I like this one - the one where the winner gets to sing for INXS.

I haven't seen it except for tonight.

I was expecting "American Idol" quality, but the performers were of a much higher quality.

They had a full band (not INXS), orchestra, and a choir, all of which were amazingly good.

The best I felt was Marty singing "Wish You Were Here" and I felt that Suzie's "Bohemian Rhapsody" was not as good as what others said. It may sounded different in concert than on tv.

Oh man if you just tuned in tonight you missed some great performances. They sang some old classics and some new stuff. Marty sang Mr Brightside by The Killers. Just him and an acoustic. Very powerful voice. I wasn't expecting much either when the show started but it's been awesome. I hope it comes out on DVD.

I can't see any of the lady's winning -it would send their music in another direction. A male voice is well suited for that band.

Mig performed well, but like it was comented on after the song, he sang during the music breaks

I watch it when I get the chance which isn't often. Although I am a big fan of most of the singers I think it would be a crime if Mig didn't win. When they did the acoustic set, can't remember what song Mig did but it sounded damn good, just him and the piano.

Good to see the House Band bassist (Sasha) using a StingRay5 every so often.

I think Marty and Suzie will come close to winning but Mig should win.

I sort of feel the same way, but the chick who did Imagine really belted it out.. Gave me chills at some points...

Lucious would ROCK that show. I watch it for the performers - not just the singers but they have one hell of a band on that show, along with that choir. All that stuff would make William Hung sound like a vocal virtuoso.

Dave Navarro is just.... I dunno.... too pretty?

You know you can't drop a line out there like "why Luke turned it down" and not spark a wave of curiosity... Why did Luke turn it down?

Oh yeah, and the band on that show rocks! Excellent musicianship (is that a word?).

Yeah I'm watching it......and I'm really enjoying it.

I too think it will be Mig in the end (I can't imagine INXS not taking the australian Mig, if he gets into the final 2....too much uproar in their home country if they don't take him...plus Mig has been great in the show). Marty is terrific too....his version of Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd last night was outstanding......

I'm kind of surprised that JD has lasted as long as he has.........maybe tonight he'll get the boot.

JD is good, but not right for the band from what I've heard. Mig will be in the finals and I have a feeling that TY might be there as well.

I agree Michael Hutchence was INXS and the winner gets to do "1" album and tour with the band from what I understand.

It's not a bad show and better than most of the crap that's on there usually.

I hear ya on that being on tv, it is better than most shows. Did you happen to catch the Tommy Lee goes to college thing beforehand? Hilarious!

I haven't really been following the INXS stuff too much because I can't tune in that channel very well (no, I have not been known to drop 60 bucks on cable every month) but I do like the Imagine girl and the Wish You Were Here guy, even if his voice sounded a little whiny and out of tune sometimes. Was Mig the one that had the neverending note? Didn't that remind you of the 3 Amigos? "The three aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I'd much rather see Jordis loose. Personally I think she's the best talent on the show and can go much further without InXS (or however it's typed) than with them. Just my humble opinion of course.

Jordis has a beautiful voice but I couldn't quite hear her guitar playing - which was comented by one of the band. Is her playing any good ?

I don't think her voice would fit with beyond one album with InXs.

Yea Mig does the never ending note at the end of "Live and Let Die" which I think he forced it at the end. I think he held it a bit too long.

BTW does the winner get to record one album and tour the album with the band?

Beth, I'm with yah on the cable thing. We gave the kids the choice cable or out to eat once a week, so we dine out.

Pack-Rat, yup the winner gets 1 album and tour with them, from what I understand.

I think Jordis has a chance to be a great solo act. She might and might not fit well with INXS. She'll do well, she has an amazing voice and good stage presence.

I don't really watch this show, l've got better things to do, but that would be funny to see Lucious in Dave Navarro's place, it would be worth watching, and be very funny, but their might be too many times were certain things would be bleeped out,.

I like the Three Amigos.. mainly because my mother watched it once when I was a teenager, and she *hated* it... she thought it was the dumbest thing she had ever watched in her life.

I like it because it became a guaranteed way to get my mother out of a room! Hahaha. Just pop on the ol' 3 Amigos flick...and she'd leave the room bitching about how stupid it is... worked every time!
