OK, I know that here everbody praises EB/MM quality constantly, but how about fret jobs, especifically?

All of the 7 or 8 EB/MM basses that have been through my hands have had flawless fret jobs, and that is no coincidence in production instruments.

I wonder how does this happen. . .

-Did you guys at one point made it a rule that no instrument would leave the factory with less-than-100%-perfect fret jobs?

-Who are these"fretmasters"?

-Or are there little gnomes that come at night and magically polish the frets with their hats?

-Or is it all the work of a highly intelligent robotic arm?

The quality extends down to the SUB basses as well.

I just picked one up last week (used - but like new).

I couldn't believe how great the fret job was, the neck is great too.

Honestly, the only thing that I don't like about my SUB 5 is the pickguard... but that'll change soon.

One of my favorite things about the quality of these basses. Can't have a great playing bass without a great fretjob.

I was checkin' out the Gee - tars at my "local" (45 miles away) EBMM dealer.

I picked up an Axis and played it through a POD. I wanted to compare it to a similar brand X guitar I own.

It's no joke, the fret job was flawless.

I was tapping harmonics everywhere on the neck. I haven't been able to do that with very many guitars.

Too bad I'm broke as a joke. I would have loved to buy it. :(

Well finished fret jobs certainly sort out the men from the boys. It's just another one of those things which EBMM pride themselves on and from which we benefit.

Amen brother.

Not to mention, when you send yours back for fretwork down the road the service is top-notch. I recently sent my skinny stringer (Morse) in and Jon's work was absolutely flawless ... I don't think that guitar has every played that well!
