Help! Arctic Dream Majesty Owners, Need Your Experience!

Hi guys, I'm going to buy a Majesty in a few months, and I'm torn between two colors: Arctic Dream and Glacial Frost. The thing is, my favourite color for this guitar would be purple (like the Royal Purple one-off), but if I can't get that, my second option (which I also find stunning) is Glacial Frost.
Now, my question for the Arctic Dream Majesty owners is, does the finish turn purple often in normal indoor lighting? Or do you have to "search" for it? I've already seen the pictures decreebass took outdoors, and the ones mtrejo took, that's why I'm asking for indoor lighting conditions.

In average room lighting, you won't find the finish to be anything spectacular. You won't have to search for the purple, but it's a very dark subdued purple or deep green. But you're not going to get the sweet Mystic Dream-like brightness unless you're outdoors or in bright lighting. But it can get pretty close to the colors you posted.

That said, it's pretty cool when you show it to someone and they start cheesing out about how it changes color

But is the finish worth an extra $300? Were I to do it again, I would have gotten the black one or one of the other solid colors. They all play just as great. I played nearly every Maj they had at NAMM (artisans included) and they all played and felt just as good as mine. It's an incredibly consistent instrument.

Why not pick up the Viola Artisan?

It would be very rare that you will ever see the Arctic dream finish turn all purple like the one in your second link. I have a feeling it took lot of lighting at just the right angle to get it to look like that. The Artisan Majesty Viola finish might be the closest thing to what you are looking for.

Thanks guys! I'm not really looking for it to look all purple like on that picture, I know that won't happen, I was thinking more along the lines of what the first picture of the auction shows (more purple than the other two colors). Yes, the Artisan Viola is a nice suggestion, but the gold finish turns me off a bit (don't know why), and I really prefer a solid finish over a transparent one for that color.
That is the main thought that holds me back from the Arctic Dream MajtasticVoyage, I keep asking myself that question... Is it worth $300 more for what I'm looking for? God, if I could only get to see the Arctic Dream in person before ordering it...
