Wow. Ginger or Mary Anne.

Having seen both in person, and owning a Polar Noir, I can say neither is nicer than the other.

Look at the photos online. If that doesn't do it for you, flip a coin. You won't have any regrets on either choice.

Thanks... It looks like I'll be getting both too.. I ordered an Arctic Dream and the waiting is killing me. I found a Polar Noir for sale, thinking about ordering it..
I have a JP6 and a JPXI.. The JPXI is my favorite.

Thanks. I like the way the Carbon Fiber shield looks on the Polar Noir. I'll probably end up with both also.

I'll be the voice of sobriety here :)

The PN is much nicer. I regret getting the AD. The thing is, it's almost $300 more JUST for the finish. And this isn't the MD finish - this guitar, in normal indoor lighting, will always look a drab, dark forest/teal green or a dark purple. The sun and bright lights are the only thing that can bring out the best in the AD Maj's finish. The MD finish looks nice and multi-color in everyday lighting - not sure if this is related to the gloss vs satin finish, but either way, I found it disappointing. Obviously the guitar is top-notch amazing, but I wish I would have gotten the PN.

FWIW, JP said in his Reddit AMA that his 'desert island' guitar would be his AD Maj 7, so...

EDIT: Here's the best pic Sweetwater could muster, if that tells you anything:

Glacial frost!...Watching the Boston DVD,that colour looks stunning with the black shield, and it just so happens i ordered that one.
If it was me,i would have said Arctic Dream,as my friend bought that one last month, but i dont think the matte finish does the colour scheme justice..I got my Mystic dream out the other night, and the gloss finish really accentuates all the different colours
That is just my opinion though..My friend owned the jp6 mystic dream, and he honestly thinks the arctic dream is much better
I will also say,i only saw it for a couple of minutes or so,as i was busy with work
I must admit Mario's stunning photography does do the finish justice..Now im confused.haha
Pity you cant see both next to each other

ARCTIC DREAM

Of the colors offered on the Majesty right now, I think this is easily my favorite color.

I think that the Arctic Dream was the perfect color way for the Majesty until I seen the Royal Purple finish. But I still think that among the colors available now, Arctic Dream is the way to go.
