Hi everybody, a friend of mine is looking to purchase a Morse Darklord without the BFR shield on the fretboard, is it a standard series or every darklord is without exception a BFR?

Thanx

I'm considering purchasing a Y2d, I'd be interested to know if the Darklord Morse is a brighter version of Morse Y2D.

I do know it has a fatter neck. Does the fact that it is a BFR, are the woods used to make the guitar a higher grade than a standard version?

Didn't see the specs on the MM website, was it a limited run guitar? thank you!

It is a limited edition, not something you can normally order from MM.

There isn't really a "higher grade" with MM instruments- they're all made with the same quality, fit & finish. Just different woods, features, etc. In the case of the Darklord, you have a different neck profile (chunkier), reverse headstock, and covers on the pickups. Other than that, you're basically looking at a Y2D.

If your only complaint is the p-ups, why not swap them out? There are plenty of threads on here where people ask for p-up advice. You can always swap them back and sell it (read my signature before you commit to that course, though! ;) ). GL
