Answer from Dimarzio:
The bridge pickup should be F-spaced and the neck pickup should be standard-spaced.
You would be incredibly stupid to replace the Bridge pickup on the Axis with the (duncan) Frankenstein pickup.

The different tonal characteristics of woods used in guitars are a defining factor to how a pickup will ultimately sound.
Also it probably won't fit the guitar without some work.
Im sure I read about the pickup routes having to be modified to accept non Dimarzio pickups.
Also I am not sure on what size the legs on the base plate are on the Duncan pickup.
Must be some great pickups.
Welcome
You'll love the axis, awesome guitar!
A lot of people (including me) LOVE the standard axis pickups!! Haha they sell like hotcakes around here when they come up second hand. Be sure to give them a chance, but hey, if you do change them i'd love to hear what you settle on.
Stick around, good times and good people here![]()

I am sticking around. I like it here.
Cool. I am probably going to buy used. I got $800 already and I am getting an extra $300 plus what my job and gigs pay. I want to get something $1600-ish or less.
