Are the pickups in my Axis Tribute splittable?

And if so, has anyone modded theirs to split the coils and install a push-pull pot in the volume knob to utilize those extra sounds?

Not a big issue, just wondering if that has been done.

They are 4 conductor so you can split them if you want to mod the guitar.

Would love to hear what a split axis sounds like. I've thought about it, but have never pulled the trigger on the mod.
