As a proud new all rosewood Axis Super Sport owner, I am curious if there are any notable ASS players out there. The guitar is so awesome I can't imagine there not being any.

Anyone know of any?

There are quite a few out there.

I know DJ Ashba plays one of Sixx AM.

I will leave the rest to my fellow knuckleheads to give you more.....:p

Congrats on the rosewood....very underated axe and I love the neck on them.

Stueart Smith, most notably playing for the Eagles (recent). He's got some amazing tones.

John Denner plays ASS as well. I'd say he's notable! :)

And of course there was whatshisname, who used to play the guitar that became the Axis ...

Oh, that guy that decided to ditch the guitar that became the Axis for a lesser guitar? I remember him...;)

I've got an old bootleg on video tape from Life Of Agony. Joey Z had an Axis or EVH back then.

Thanks for all the replies everyone :)

Of course I know about the history of the Axis (and many of those who have played it) and that EVH guy...whoever he is ;)

I was actually looking for people who specifically play the Super Sport, since it is a little newer and harder to find big names that use it.

I'll have to check out some of the names you guys have given me. John Denner blows my mind...I can't believe how accurate and fast he is able to pick with the larger muscle groups that are necessary to use for the way he has to pick. The elbow isn't exactly known for competing with fingers/wrists in terms of fine motor control. Simply amazing stuff.

John has only been playing for 3 years which is even more amazing
