So while I was in the US a few weeks ago I got to play an Armada for the first time (well actually 2!!) and really loved it, in fact it was very hard not taking home one of the two tone pearl white/cream guitar center models.

As soon as I saw the MM90 version announced at Namm I am pretty convinced this is going to be my next guitar (after my Rosewood neck reflex arrives) and had a quick question.

From the videos that I have seen online it looks like the Armada MM90 version is a through neck with mahogany "wings" whereas from all the videos I have seen online about the production of the original Armada it looked like the original Armada body/neck is carved from one piece of wood with a glued on fingerboard, is that correct?

No idea about construction, although I'd imagine they'd be the same. Closer to home, Guitar Village in Farnham Surrey has a couple of Armadas in stock. If there is a difference in construction and it concerns you then you should pick up one of these and put a couple of Bare Knuckle Mississippi Queens in there!

The neck is one long solid piece. Then there are two wings that go on either side. Then there is a mahogany top. On the HH version there is a maple cap inlayed in the middle. The MM90 is all mahogany.

Hey AJ- in one of the videos Brian referred to the Armada MM90s as stacks. Have they been redesigned as noisefree?

I love MM90's. P-90's are pretty much my favorite pickup and I have played a ton of different kinds. I have never met a stacked/hum free P-90 that did anything for me. It takes the edge out of them. If these are stacked I would be very interested in playing them to see if they buck that trend.

Hey Thanks AJ, not a huge concern I was just convinced on one of the early "Making of" videos that I now cannot find that the Armada body and neck was made of one piece!!

Not answering for AJ but adding that these MM90 pickups are a different winding from those found in the AL and SuperSport and are voiced specifically for the all-mahogany Armada.

Pete did you get a chance to play the new Armada MM90, would love to know what anyone who has played it thought of the new MM90 version, the pickups in particular.

The MM90s in the Armada are different from the Al MM90s and Super Sport MM90s. They are not noiseless (there's a silent circuit in the Armada too) but they are wound to be fatter sounding.
