Hey everyone -- so here's another video featuring my Artisan Majesty. I did up a video which celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the release of Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet. This album is super important in my guitar playing life -- as EVH and Richie Sambora were early influences on my playing. In High School I'd play along to the whole album, and probably annoyed my parents on countless nights. This video is a montage performance of all the Guitar Solos on the album -- enjoy!

Awesome job , so glad I'm not the only one here that Richie has had an influence on.
The tone was great what did you use?

Thanks - I'm actually using a Line 6 Helix with a custom patch that I created. I'm using the JCM800 amp model (what Richie used), as well as a hand full of effects to get that "80's sound". Helix is going direct -- I've been doing that for live stuff and my recording/videos and it's been great!

OMG that was awesome! Thanks for the trip down memory lane, too. ;)

I also really enjoyed how much YOU were enjoying doing that. That's what playing is all about. Big thumbs up! :)

Norrin - thanks man! Not gonna lie, felt like I was in High School again. Richie's playing (especially on Slippery and Jersey) is great. There are some wonderful melodies on both of those albums!

Gotta ham it up for the camera a bit!

Great playing!! I loved late 80's early 90's Sambora, his playing and tone was just brilliant, the Dry County solo is in my top 5. Sadly he is no longer the force he was and his singing and playing seems a bit tired.

Hey guys - thanks for checking out the video!

Manxmusicman -- agreed, 80's Shred Sambora and early 90's bluesy Sambora are the best.

Awesome...I mean rad. From the eighties. That was the first tape I ever bought (likely with paper route cash). Those solos are burned in my memory. Cheers.
