My JPM has the neck sealer applied. I got it when I had my stress crack issue fixed. I've been quite pleased with it and I'm wondering if it's possible to order a Music Man with this, or if it's only a mod.

I'm working on my next JPM purchase (looks like it might still be a few months away... maybe Christmas bonus time?) and I thought I'd see how to request this, if I even can.

That is something that can't be done during production. It has to be done after the fact.

are you talking about the thing with the hairline fractures in the finish @ the neckjoint?

I'm talking about a sealent that is sprayed on the back of the neck (which actually doesn't change the feel much) that takes away some of the frequent adjustments that unfinished necks require.

I got mine sprayed when I sent my guitar in for the neck joint stress crack in the finish... which I haven't had a problem with since.

Thanks for the info Jon. I'll be calling you tomorrow (if I can get out of school, and off work in time lol) about my RA number for the electronics issue I called you about months ago. Right after we talked I got laid off and have had no money to do anything with... thank God for parents that ROCK and the meals they have bought me. Anyway, my Mom was cleaning and I had called you from her house and she accidentally tossed my number. It's been so long, I may need another one anyway.

I know.... I'm always such a pain. I really don't mean to be. I'm just terribly scatter brained.

For your R/A number, you can call customer service at 1 866 823-2255.

Let them know if you want the neck sealed in addition to the electronics problem. The electronics problem is most likely a warranty issue, but sealing the neck isn't.
