..hi to you all..

..just want to share something with you..

..in the early nineties i went out to buy a ebmm/silo, which was really hard to get in austria at that times (and still is today..;-(..)..

..i got this one which i still have and will never give away..

..i then traded in a les paul that i also bought in the early nineties to get me a jp7 (it was time for some challenge though..;-)...)..

..but i found out that my hands ware too small for the petrucci neck and my playing skills were not good enough and although it was a great sounding guitar it (for me personally) didnt work..

..so i sold it and got into this one..*fully loaded*

..i love the neck much more as i did the neck of the jp7 (but i must admit, the jp7 neck is the fastest neck i have ever played) and man do i love the looks and the finish of this one..

..the neck is one piece of rosewood and the guitar plays like a dream..
..the sound is beefy and rich and the piezo is something i shall never miss again..

..i´m lovin it..;-)

I agree with fred, the Rosewood Axis with piezo is a cool guitar but that Silo is really sweet.........that's a keeper!

..thx..

..regarding the old silos i think i know what you mean..

..i also have the feeling (but this may be very very biased and personal) that in some way they seem to be harder/tougher/a little bit more solid to me than the recent models, which does not mean that either is better or worse, but i also think that the silo is heavier than the ass (or the wood they used at ebmm is tighter, i dunno...hard to describe feelings..;-)..)..

..the reason i could not get to work with the neck of the jp7 was that it was just too broad for my hands and switching from the jp7 to the silo and back was hard for me in terms of handling/getting used to..

..bye, erik..
