They have quite a neat idea here....a blues type jam organised in the one live music club here by a local music school on a Thursday, when the place is usually shut.. The first hour and a half is taken up by the students (aged 10 to adult) playing songs they've learnt in various combos to a audience rich in friends and family....after that (about 1am) any passing musos join in. From a critical point of view, sometimes the standard isn't too high, but what a great opportunity for young learning musicians to get some live playing experience.
And what has all this to do with EBMM.....well, I took my new-to-me ASS out to play live for the first time since 2004 (and the first time since 1999 without my purple SS).
Sounded fine plugged into a transistor Fender Performer (made me think I spend too much time worrying about valve amps). My main role was singing, as with 2 other guitarists, a sax, keyboards and harmonica the songs really didn't need solos from me as well.
Still can't like the flame maple and transparent finish.....but it's a very nice guitar....soon I hope to have one in a colour I like better
