Does anyone know the stages a MM goes through in it's building process?

I called on the SS I ordered and was told it had just come out of buffing and would probably be another couple of weeks. This just got me to thinking about what stages the guitars go through as they're being built.

I would love to actually see pictures of a guitar as it's being built.

Right after buffing is chanting. They appeal to the tone gods to smile on that particular instrument, and ask that assembly goes well.

Remember that when you get your guitar that the last stage is fawning. Usually the spirit of the guitar will *make* you fawn over it anyway, so don't worry about it, you'll know what to do.

I figured I might get a smart guy on this one. :D

I thought someone might say, "no there's no one who knows". :)

Here
From buffing it goes to the setup dept where the body is prepped, then the pickups etc are installed, then it is matched up with the neck, strung up and setup ( nutslots are filed, bridge adjusted, intonation set, truss rod adjusted, pickup height set etc) after inspection it goes to packaging then it is shipped out.

Thanks Jon! That helps me to visualize things.

I own a Taylor Acoustic and I have seen where they have pictures of various stages of their manufacturing process (I guess to help potential buyers to visualize their quality process). Has EB ever thought about doing something like that?

I think MM guitars are the best kept secret going (for a high quality electric guitar)!

Interesting. Thanks Jon.

I'm waiting on Luke #3. Feel free to play around on that baby so the neck feels a little played on.

KEITH

PS We must go through 3 or 4 stages just waiting for delivery.:p
