....and my Luke is now officially ordered :D

After the rather bizarre tangent of buying the Universe last year, instead of a Blue Dawn Luke (curses, curses, curses) I've finally done the right thing and ordered my first EBMM. Vintage Sunburst, matching headstock and piezo. Couldn't find any more expensive options to order ;) :p

So, if the factory lads are reading, take good care of her and I promise I'll do the same at this end.

Been quoted 3 months wait (I'm expecting 5-6 to avoid disappointment!) which gives me plenty of time to sell the Universe on ebay. Anyone in the UK want one? Thought not, the seven stringers probably have Petruccis.

Feels strange ordering one after wanting one for so long. Shame I missed the BD last year though. This will also mark the end of 11 years Jem/Universe ownership yet I don't feel all that remorseful. The Jems just never really clicked with me. I bought them mainly for the whole Vai thing, which I've gotten over now. The Uni is by far the nicest, but its also very much designed for scooped playing, which I hate!

The Uni is listed on ebay, though I've still to add piccies. I'm still waiting for a friend with a digital camera to pop round and take photos:

When I've listed as mint, I really do mean mint. As the listing says, the scratchplate has some TINY marks but compared to the new Jem 777VWH the store is selling (everyone tries that guitar), its beyond pristine

It really is only a year old as well. Like the Jem, I just don't gel with the necks on these guitars. When I bought my first Jem, a 777VBK, I ended up playing my old Washburn KC40V far more!!! I still can't figure out what possessed me to buy a Universe!!! I suppose I can say I owned one now

Anyway, if anyone wanted to give me £900-1000 I'd close the auction, but they'd have to be in the UK I'm afraid. I've no experience of international courier services. It might be fine but if anything goes wrong then I'd be completely FUBARed!!!

In all seriousness, many thanks for the advice and e-mails, Keith. You've been a huge help to me. Greatly appreciated and hope I can return the favour one day :D
