Dave, I read you loud and clear, you are missing a Bongo in your arsenal, yes arsenal not the other, well... Grand Wazoo to the rescue: you can borrow mine for a few months.

Now I don't know where on the Emerald Isle you live but if you can get to the port of Cork, I could load the bass on board one of our ship that calls Cork and make arrangements with my local port agency for you to collect it from their office. I've trained with a couple of them Captains (sea dogs) so they are my pals and will be happy to help me.

The offer is there for you to take...

i live in the north west a place called Sligo,but i just checked my diary and i am playing in Limerick about an hour away from cork on the 6th of Augest ! .is that too soon ? if so just let me know when you can get it there and i will pick it up.
 
You haven't worked with any seamen who sail to Bergen, Norway by any chance? :D

Anyway, that's a fantastic thing to do, wazoo.

7 and 17... whew, you have your hands full!!! The oldest just moving out of puberty and the next moves in (having learnt everything from big sis)... I understand :cool:

That's awesome GW! (by the way, happy belated birthday...) I've been sailing/fishing on the Great Lakes with my family for the past week so I haven't been around here too much, but I think these would go quite well with a Big Poppa Smoker... (all caught in one evening aboard my boat - "the titanic-fitzgerald")

DTG - be sure to post feedback on what you think about the Bongo's piezo - I'm still workin' on getting used to mine, but it is sweet :cool:

I have the same bass so if Dave has questions he can feel free to ask me... although Grand Wazoo will likely answer them for you

I'll have to make a few calls today, trying for August 6th, if not I'll organize a courier, then you can have the bass earlier. I'll be in touch.
 
Att: Dtg - urgent

Dave, I have spoken to my contacts in both loading port and discharging port, all has been arranged already: there's a ship leaving Sat 24th July, I could have that Bongo in Cork as early as Sunday 25th, it goes on board in Portbury UK and 12 hours later arrives in Cork, it will be then collected by the agents who will keep it in their office for you to pickup so I've pm'd you my number, call me asap as I need to give you the Port Agent's details for you to get in touch with them and collect. Remember this is an office so their bsns hours will be Mon-Fri 08:00 to 17:00 so you must collect at a suitable time for them.

Next ship is in 2 weeks time and too late for your original time frame of Aug 6th.
 
Ok Dave you didn't reply so you must be on holiday, well when you get back, I will be on holiday with my lovely gf and the next ship is not before 7th Aug with arrival Cork 8th August, but sadly I won't be about as I will still be sailing a Yacht (not mine, it's a chartered one lol) to Egypt's glorious Sharm el-Sheikh.

We'll reschedule this when I get back.
