Up until about a year and 1/2 ago, I was in a pretty popular (in my area) local cover band. We played alot of really good rooms and had a really good following, however, as the sayin goes ... "all good things must come to an end". :(

I've since done some recording and have built a few guitars ... and just anything music related to help motivate me, but there's really nothing like playing out with a band. I miss playing all the clubs I used to play, I miss the bar room brawls, being flashed by all of the hoochies, getting beer spilled all over my equipment, driving home at 3 or 4 in the morning, etc.. Yeah ... call me crazy, but I miss it all.

Anyway ... I've put a few ads out and I'm once again looking for a band (before I get too old and just look ridiculously stupid onstage). :D
A band called me two days ago, gave me a list of about 6 songs to learn and asked me to audition today. Okay cool, no problem. I learned the songs, brokedown my stack and threw wheels back on one of my cabinets, pack everything up, load the car, and then I get the phone call .... "Something came up and we can't do the audition today" . UGH!!!!

I'm really bummed.
I'm not sure if this was "the" band for me, but it's really hard trying to find good
musicians in my area who aren't already in a working band and I was really looking foward to it. :(
