Hey thanks, man. That's really nice of you. I've saved the page. Seems that Roubster's pretty set on a piezo equipped axe though. I like that color on a Luke.

It's funny, as I've for many years leaned heavily toward maple boards, but since getting my Sil Sp with rosewood, that's all changed. Now I'm a rosewood junkie, even though I still prefer the look of maple. Looks are far behind tone and feel for me.

Hey, no problem. Roubster needs to make room for an axe. Wasn't sure if you needed to trade or if you might want to sell your axe and buy a Luke. I thought maybe you could help each other. I guess you're just purely into trading for a Luke or outright selling your guitar.

For my first electric guitar, which I still have, I got maple. I figured if it's good enough for Clapton, Gilmour, and Hendrix, it's good enough for me. (Can you guess what I bought?) I thought rosewood sounded muddy at the time. That's what I thought I knew at 18. Every guitar I've bought since then has had rosewood.

Hey guys :). With the Luke I am specifically looking to sell, as Roburado has said. I as well am a rosewood "junkie" hahaha. I have ordered a Axis SS w/ piezo from Pete, so that's why I need to get rid of the Luke (for now) and also the 20th Silo is on order.
So far there is a potential buyer that I've been speaking with. But PM me Bruce if you are interested or what not :).

Thanks for responding, Roubster. I’m not in any sort of rush, and still undecided if I even want to part with “Sunset”, the name I’ve given to the guitar in question. It plays and sounds great, as well as looks incredible in person. I’m a minimalist by nature, and since “Blue” gets most of my playing attention, I’m not very attached to Sunset. Besides, I'd want more than average price for a used Special, or just just keep it.

Let us know how you like your new Axis SS w/ piezo!

Also, he says the guitar is about 2 years old, yet it has a sparkle finish. Didn't EBMM discontinue them before that? And same with the PAF Pro humbucker?

hmm..

They discontinued them 2003'ish.

Both of my Sil Specials were made before 2003 (2000 and 2001), and both have the newer Virtual PAF. At least that's what I was told here.

If that doesn't make your nipples hard I don't know what does. Did you notice the first question: Is it made in the USA?
