Awesome Weekend

So this weekend was awesome .... i woulda written about it early but i was dead tired.

Friday we had a gig in San Jose that we rocked. Full on mosh pit etc. CLub manager, booker, sound guy etc ... they all loved us. Made new fans, folks jumped on stage during the gig to take pix with me LOL... it was awesome; but that was just a warmup.

Saturday was our first show on the Emergenza Festival. At 5:30 we showed up at the club for soundcheck ... but we went on at midnight! so, guess what? we drank a lot. The club was awesome, the other bands were all cool, the bakstage area (eventually monpolized with our friends/fans) was awesome! We're a super social band, especially when me and Shane are drunk (ask Steve) so we met pretty much everyone ... we dragged people in from the street to watch us, the door guy was coming back to take shots with us ... we made lots of friends!

then at midnight we went on and just threw down. From the first note to the end of the set we maybe stopped playing for a total of 90 seconds. it was a quick 25 set that was loaded with our most energetic songs. it was amazing! made lots of friends, kicked ass and I think we got the most votes out of all the bands that night ... so we're stoked for the next Emergenza show.

Then Monday I got my new GK 1001 RB head delivered by fedex. Dr Stank successfully brainwashed me and I finally got it ... travis did brainwashing too.

and today I ordered an HH SR4 from steve ... quite a nice 4 days of bass bliss :)

im in a good mood.

Don't you love weekends where you play those awesome gigs and afterwards you get pissed with your mates and bandmates, do shots with randoms... and get up to lots of random shenanigans!!!!

You super social when you are drunk?!??!?!? NAH....can't be.....LOL.

Dude, you are super cool as I had a great time hanging out back with you at the OH and what not. We need to get together again and soon.....

Let me know about the GK once you put her to the test....I am looking.....and need all the help I can get.;)

Glad you had a good time. I'm envious. I miss performing. Even the drymouth and butterflies right before taking the stage.
